What Will I Learn?
This course will give you a in-depth introduction to the capabilities and features of Structured Query Language (SQL).
It is suitable for anyone who wants to learn the basics of SQL, We will use Microsoft SQL Server as an example database for you to practise on.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Write basic SELECT statements including wildcard characters and comparison operators.
- Carry out mathematical calculations in SQL

Am I Ready For This Course?
No prior experience with SQL is needed to attend this course.
We do recommend that you have experience working in Windows. Also, any knowledge of relational databases will be useful, although this is not required.
The Training Day
This course will start from 9:30am and end around 4:30pm. We offer refreshments throughout the day and a break for a tasty, freshly prepared lunch.

We will start the training with an overview of relational databases and how SQL works in that context. We will also look at the database that will run our SQL queries on during the training so we can get comfortable with its interface.
